broomer 0
Good morning Rob.A fantastic night, only 99 in the picture, but 104 actually caught . Cos Jazz doesn't retrieve, twice when i went to collect the rabbit from her, she started to walk back to me and the rabbit couldn't be found, Millet dropped one from out of his back pack, and god only knows what Woodga did with his 2....(got some strange ways with rabbits has Woodga) :11: :11: . Went off on my own for the 1st half of the night, Jazz was doing OK but no-where near the best ive seen her work, didn't seem to be putting her heart into it. Then one big rabbit gave her a right hard run and she was left miles behind. I really started to worry at this stage . We went back to the cars to offload the rabbits caught, then went back into the 1st fields. At about the same place Jazz had just about given up i saw Millet running Sam, the rabbit did exactly the same, then another one jumped up ran towards Millet so i lit it up for him, and for some reason he didn't slip Sam. I told him that was the same bloody rabbit which had given Jazz such a run around, to be told that's cos it a mature hare (not one im gonna live down for a while) . We then all stopped for sarnies and coffee and headed out again, this time Jazz was putting her heart and soul into it, back to the normal 'blackdeath'. From 42 runs Jazz accounted for 32 bunnies . Firsts for Jazz & i this night....... Jazz running into a herd of sleeping cattle, she wove around their legs to eventually catch the bunnies (my heart was in my mouth) Catching 2 from one slip. Working her for a good while (whilst on my own) completely off the slip with just voice commands. Me falling off a fence and twisting my ankle (instead of Woodga falling down a hole).......its a lovely colour purple this morning Woodga . BRILLIANT night, with BRILLIANT company and the best lurchers in the world MOLL. Left the house at 7.30pm, got back from lamping 04.30am, only had 4.5hrs sleep to if this post doesnt make sense.......sorry <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote Link to post
