lapin2008 1,587
to be fair everyone just has to make their own decisions based on what its like near where they go. The stubbles are solid here but also many of the fields have been turned over, flattened and replanted so are fairly soft, leaving plenty of space to have the odd run without too much risk. Edited to add: I took mine out last night and had a few runs for an hour or so early doors, and got a small handful of rabbits, 3 Quote Link to post

Hot Meat 3,109
If you don't think there's a difference between walking and trotting a dog fit compared to a dog that is fit enough to be clamped properly then your the 1 talking shut. Ffs you's run on hard ground on the 1st Sept an all for a proxy 5 bunny at most. I bet they were all run up and down hedges lol stick to your 5 bunny twice a week pal no doubt you'll not be out once it gets cold and wet lol Quote Link to post

There is a big difference in the fitness required for ferreting, mooching about, general fitness and the kind I fitness needed for a lot of lamping. 3 Quote Link to post

I've never looked at it as lamping fit as most do. The way I look at it is if my bitch is fit & putting game in the bag & working well then i'm a happy bunny. I'm out everyday first thing in the morning & then i'm back out in the evening to it get dark having a mooch around. I had a call from one the farmers that I have permission on asking me to sort the rabbits out which I did cuz I don't want to lose it!! I been sorting them by long netting, snaring & lamping with my dog so far i've took over 70 all so rabbits from Friday till now, yeah I had 5 rabbits last night why I was having a drink my bitch was lying down I thought I take some photos of her with the catch. I was only out for half an hour to I had a phone call saying my poor old mom in hospital she got cancer. So I go home why I was waiting for my little sister to come I thought I upload them photos on here. You don't know me at all, i'm out more time than you thinks. Sorry everyone if I came over a bit of a tw*t I have a lot on my mind. 1 Quote Link to post
Saluki246 1,053
Very warm over here still and ground in many parts hard. I am sticking to boggy areas for keeping them fit. A coupe of weeks ago, their was some rain and the ground was a wee bit softer, got some running then, but all quiet at the moment, lats hope it rains a bit soon, trouble is here in Ireland, when it starts to rain, it does not know when to fecking stop..lol 1 Quote Link to post
