Anyone Lamping Tonight

Recommended Posts

to be fair everyone just has to make their own decisions based on what its like near where they go. The stubbles are solid here but also many of the fields have been turned over, flattened and replanted so are fairly soft, leaving plenty of space to have the odd run without too much risk.

Edited to add: I took mine out last night and had a few runs for an hour or so early doors, and got a small handful of rabbits,

There are going to be a few dogs lame by the end of the week. . . . . .   Funny how folk wouldn't run them a few days ago, but now, because it's september folk are out . . . . . it was over 20C yest

I'll have a word with my old man . . . .

I've got a mate who will only run when it's perfect conditions. He won't run if the ground is hard, if its not windy enough, if there's more than 25% moon, if there's no rain, if there's alot of rain,

i don't feel stuppid he hit something on the hedge if you came up my way you would know only a few fields are hard the rest are cow pastures and fields what are dusty so no i don't feel stuppid what so ever shit happen i own 2 big dogs you tit and my dogs see plenty of work thanks no trebling hear do me just fine the post was about me saying my dog hurt him self no about how many dogs i have or if they are fit or not start from the begining and have a good read

If you don't think there's a difference between walking and trotting a dog fit compared to a dog that is fit enough to be clamped properly then your the 1 talking shut. Ffs you's run on hard ground on the 1st Sept an all for a proxy 5 bunny at most. I bet they were all run up and down hedges lol stick to your 5 bunny twice a week pal no doubt you'll not be out once it gets cold and wet lol

Whats leather or catapults & air rifles got to with a dog that hurt itself. Plus what the hell is lamping fit. Does that mean I got to get my dogs ferreting fit & mooching fit you come across some shit on this site.

No you don't.

There is a big difference in the fitness required for ferreting, mooching about, general fitness and the kind I fitness needed for a lot of lamping.

Also to look at it like this - my old man is pretty fit, he could walk around the park all day, helps me on the shoot fine etc etc. But get him playing a couple of games of squash on the trot and hes f****d!

I do know the difference between walking and trotting a dog fit compared. I've never looked at it as lamping fit as most do. The way I look at it is if my bitch is fit & putting game in the bag & working well then i'm a happy bunny. I'm out everyday first thing in the morning & then i'm back out in the evening to it get dark having a mooch around. I had a call from one the farmers that I have permission on asking me to sort the rabbits out which I did cuz I don't want to lose it!! I been sorting them by long netting, snaring & lamping with my dog so far i've took over 70 all so rabbits from Friday till now, yeah I had 5 rabbits last night why I was having a drink my bitch was lying down I thought I take some photos of her with the catch. I was only out for half an hour to I had a phone call saying my poor old mom in hospital she got cancer. So I go home why I was waiting for my little sister to come I thought I upload them photos on here. You don't know me at all, i'm out more time than you thinks. Sorry everyone if I came over a bit of a tw*t I have a lot on my mind.

Very warm over here still and ground in many parts hard. I am sticking to boggy areas for keeping them fit.

A coupe of weeks ago, their was some rain and the ground was a wee bit softer, got some running then, but all quiet at the moment, lats hope it rains a bit soon, trouble is here in Ireland, when it starts to rain, it does not know when to fecking stop..lol
