I dunno if he played for Scotland but I think he did. He was apparently better at cricket that football which is astonishing cos he was without doubt the best keeper I ever have had the misfortune of watching save after save after save

He did play cricket for the Scotland cricket team. Think they were sh1te though!!! As a keeper he was a 1 off...always at his best against celtic as you and TB knew

That was him at his best, the Burns era, the guy was impossible to get past. Can mind seeing him changing direction in mid air to save a shot and thinking, how the f**k. Hated him at the time but can appreciate how good he was now.

If I've one criticism of the Scotland team it was our size. Two small strikers, we could have done with an out ball instead of having to resort to lung bursting runs. I'd have played mulgrew up front with Millar and brought Maloney on in the 70th.

 

 

Iv never agreed with that ethos.

Imo if your Good enough your Big enough.

Its Football not Rugby.

And thats why the British game is in the state its in,

Its about time we learnt kids from a early age to play football instead of just lumping it at every oppertunity.

It should be about keeping the ball.
