everyone seems to favour the cream dog, i'm a fan of poor unloved Boots

both stunning animals but i'm a fan of the rougher types, love Boots' markings and his legs and feet look so strong in one of those photos, bet he'll be a sight to behold in full gallop

Well matey,I'm in your camp lol..I have always favoured Boots..I honestly don't think there is more than two or three in our gang haha...he is a magnificent looking dog already at 10 months old,he is a little way behind in the maturity stakes but IMO he will be a machine down the road come the day he is ready to go to war...he carries a great back in him,his legs and feet like you say are nigh on perfect for a running dog, none of this flimsy nonsense..my mate who keeps coursing types seen him two days ago and said "he's too big" lol but hey ho we will have to see? The cream dog just this past fortnight has gone into a "rebellious" stage lol, doesn't respond to commands like he did but I was told this could be a problem by several experienced folk anywhere from 9 months up until 12/13 months and these have had Saluki types for many years and their advice was nearly all identical.."ignore them & try and keep your cool" haha..Boots is A1 and always has been..touch wood he stays that way..still very happy with how things are going in the main,we are almost at the starting stalls now :-)

Its hard to tell what they are like when they are playing. I just had razor out with my bitch lara

They where chasing each other round.if anybody was watching who didn't know the dogs they would think lara

Was a fair bit quicker than razor. Until they so him behind a large bunny. They would soon change there minds

Wether it be in a small grass paddock or big land..I keep saying this .and I may be totally wrong. THERE'S ALWAYS A FIRST TIME.

But I really do think boots will be able to smash em on big and shitty little grass padocks..

I hope I am right. I would personally like both dogs to cut the mustard up there.

+1

I never allow any of my pack to have any sort of pecking order I am top dog and that's it ... That way I never have a pack fight there is never a power struggle to be second in command they are all equal in their eyes ... Lot less hassle .......

Those two pups are looking fantastic Stevie, top marks to you there buddy....well I had the pups out yesterday evening and thought I'd take them to a wee place where we might of seen one or two rabbits and hopefully they would get a sighting of one ... Holy shit as I got out the car there was bunnies everywhere as i closed the boot on the car and the dogs were gone!! They were over the fence and away,on my recall they may aswell of stuck two fingers up at me and shouted F**K YOU lol..atleast I know they will chase but I really didn't expect to see so many bunnies and with Fife being a bit of a rebel of late anyway I could of done without the abundance of rabbits but atleast I know there is a few for the winter months...these two are like fooking terriers at hunting,I lost the b*****d Pom twice after it went walkabout chasing conies and infact the nearest I got to a rabbit supper was when Ruby ran a rabbit, she had it turned in circles only for it to drop into a burrow :-( you may ask where the pups were, well I had leashed them up by now, they just ain't simply ready...to immature and would of just ran themselves into a stupor ...chasing bunnies way in the distance that were heading for home yet there was numerous sitting at my feet..i just had NO control of them, they were like kids been let to do as they please in a sweet shop...nevermind though it was an experience for them to be out amongst a few bunnies...

Hard to get them focused on just one rabbit when there's a load about, was it "chasing one and when another got up chase that one" scenario? It will be hard on them when you take them for one on one training too if they have always been out together too, but I would imagine that's the route to go down.
