I've just been to my local butchers to get some meat for the dogs, anyway I asked him about chicken carcasses, necks and wings also hearts offal and bones and he said he can get what ever I want and mince it all up for 55 pence per 1lb of meat. I told him I would pop back down tomorrow. But is this a good price or could I get it cheaper elsewhere?

How many dogs you got?

See if you could get a better price on regular decent amounts. Sounds good for human grade stuff, although he probably pays to get rid of it normally.

I would say your paying for his time and effort and no more.

I've only got 2 dogs small beddy whip very small and a 18 week old patterdale, Ill shop around a bit more then see if I can get it cheaper

I'd go get your bits off your butcher, it's not as if you need lots. Or shop around more butchers to see if you can get some bits for free.

Isn't it just! At the moment I don't mind paying more because since giving my lurcher minced chicken carcass she won't touch biscuit, and I've ran out of meat they had the last of the venison ribs last night, my lurcher is being very picky I put down a whole bowl of dry kibble and she wouldn't entertain it, I then soaked it up with some gravy and still she just turned her nose up at it! I had to boil some rice along with frozen veggies just so the dog would eat something today hence why I need to source meat quickly and cheap!
