when I was a kid we loved this program because he was a ringer for me grandad lol . Go and fill this up sambo , couldn't get away with that now!

'Love thy Neighbour' !

Some many TV channels, but not one brave enough to put that on again! They could use the excuse of 'classic comedy'. I saw an old episode of 'On the Buses' recently on ITV4 - all the women called 'birds', reference to a 'chinky' restaurant and a black guy called Chalky, so it can be done!

Not sure they would let it on main stream media Mate. In a world where the media won't say a suspected rapist had large lips or immigration officers can't do a spot check based on ethnic background , I can't see them let a program where a white man calls someone sambo on . Unless of course your black or ethnic and then you can say nigger or chinky or cracker as much as you want because its funny then lol.

Just seen the film of 'Bongo bongo Land' on the news - the MEP makes the point that if he hadn't used such language, the topic would not be debated. I think he's got a point, but this is the same chap who directed a Nazi remark at a German colleague! :D

The fact that the black character is as abusive as the white guy never gets mentioned, though!
