Boot Sale Bargain

Recommended Posts

Just has a little shock, Sunday morning I was haveing the last walk around the local booty, when I spotted a large glass jug that had the emblems of Smirinoff, Pimms etc on it, so picked it up and it was a cocktail jug with measures and different recipies and the quantities etched in to the jug. We have a barby coming up so I though why not a £1 is nothing really.

When I got home everyone liked the jug, So today I had a search to see what it it was worth. turns out there was one sold last week for £25 so Out comes the camera and up goes the BIN £25 sold in 21 minutes. You just never know what will sell.

Aye it does happen like that. I use to sell those polish dishes for between £10 and £15 but not anymore it seems. Things change you just have to find the next new thing.

Crystal or pressed glass? If they are chippendale pressed glass the smaller pieces are a couple of quid and the larger pieces are a bit more. You seem to know how to do completed listings on ebay do some homework.

Some of the designer glass esspecially the Scandernavian stuff fetches tidy money. Murano is a waste of time.

it don't look much -- but its marked up it would be dated around 1900-1910 -- ganes stopped trading after the war and its a1 condition got everything going for it .. if your looking at furniture look for a name pop out the seat pad on chairs its mainly on the back rail on tables its underneath ---any water colour or oil painting that's cheap and signed give it a go
