whippet 99 2,613
well with the summer holidays here and the kids wanting to do plenty of stuff,....away from there dreaded x box... we been fishing a couple of times with carp set ups on a fairly local lake with not a very good catch rate.........in fact 0ne fish , was poor , but im not blameing it all on me as it was snowing on one of the occasions lol any way yesterday I decided to go light with a couple of spinning rods and a float set up......we started fishing a couple of rod lengths out from the wall ........and bang me oldest lad had a small roach and with plenty of maggots fished over a bed of pellets.....we started catching some nice size roach and then we started knocking in to the bream and it was one of those days where for once , everthing went right with plenty of action through the day,............my youngest was cook and it was hard work keeping an eye on him and the food ,.......with the float seeing regular bites we had some nice burnt sausages at the end lol....... it was nice to see the kids totally dedicated and certainly improving,......and now im sure there hooked ..they didn't want to leave... so this afternoon were off too Exmoor where my dads family live and were going for a few of the wild trout around the rivers by the cottages.......were going to get the head down in the back of the van ........actually looking forward to it ..........and possibly a bit of supper in the black venus........... tight lines me old cock...
