Ayup lads!

Well after shooting proper sh1t all weekend at the meet and making a fool of myself I have hit rock bottom with my shooting confidence :icon_eek:

so a trip out tonight was in order to see what I could do now I have my home comforts.. aka 'my tree' that I sit under on 'my range' allowing me to be very steady , rather than lying prone with elbows that hurt and wobbling like a sh1tting dog!

so to cut a long story short, went out, decided to take KaTie, was thinking hw95k but thought nah, needed a confidence boost afterall and I can shoot KaTie a lot better than the 95.

had a plink about and heres the 10 shot group at 35yds, top left was a wobble by me, the 7th shot, and the first shot impacted low, bad pellet... but still almost in the group. without these 2 shots the main group would be a square about as big as 1/4 of a uk 5p :boogy:

so confidence restored and feeling happy I poped into the farm shed on the way home, and out flys a woodpigeon, which then lands in a tree 40 yards from the tractor I was next to...

kneeling shot rested on the tractor, pigeon on a bare branch in the centre of the tree, perfectly safe backstop, the tree's trunk, even if I missed :whistling::laugh:

yeah right I thought, im never missing this shot :thumbs: ,

no wind so the half mildot aimpoint on the scb ret of my mamba lite was placed on the pigeons eye.. squeezed off the trigger and saw the bird fall hard as a rock to the ground, stone dead not even a flap! :victory:

pellet impacted just above the eye, the bird was facing to my right, and the pellet exited through the back of its head, whilst following the shot through I could see a pellet mark on the tree where I had aimed

after I shot pigeon I went back down to see if much else was around, with no luck. so I took a pic of the group with the pigeons head to show the size of it. 20130718_193011_zpsfddd1769.jpg

Fine shooting with the Boinger Skot, We all have bad weekends bud ;)

Mine was induced by Alcohol :drinks::cheers::drink: and feeling still pissed the next day.

Even shot My lowest ever score on HFT 42 in .22 class, My lowest before that was 49 with the HWKT 97

at My first Meet. :) But amazingly still came second in .22 class with a 1.5 week old HW100 KT.

You'll do better next time and if i can keep away Drinking with Davy then i'll be back up the score board :o

Plenty of sauce on that doo Skot  I had a grueller on a knock down crow a few weeks ago, drove me insane until I realised the raging hay fever I had, had a major effect on my parallax, nearly ran over and melee'd the f**kin crow

Good shooting bud made a nice mess of that pigeon nice work!!

That's after it had been in a carrier bag for about 20 mins.

when I first picked it up blood was dripping out onto my hands, as usual lol so it all went in the bottom of the bag with its head lol

thanks mate. my little 9 ftlb unturned boinger still does a good job :laugh::whistling:
