walshie 2,804
We were out with our shotguns doing a bit of early evening shooting a couple of nights ago, when we saw 2 old biddies coming down the footpath alongside with their dogs. I shouldered my gun on it's strap and my lad broke his gun. They stopped alongside us and i thought "Here we go. Questions and/or antis." One of them shouted across "What are you shooting?" When I told them mostly jackdaws and a few rabbits, she said "Cool! There's thousands of them round here." and waved us goodbye.....which was nice. Quote Link to post

stroller 341
Its nice to see not everyone is out of touch with the countryside. I don't think we will see an end to fieldsports in this century but who knows what the far future will bring Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
It is a nice change when someone reacts like that, me and the Seeker were rabbiting one sunday afternoon a couple of years back, a guy walking his dog comes up to us and asks us about what we were doing, opon telling him we were rabbiting he says oh I own the land over there pointing to his land, can you come and shoot some of my rabbits please they are getting out of control. Also its different areas that have various attitudes to shooting, IE out wildfowling on the wash walking back after flight, I have never had a funny look or anything negative from dog walkers ect, some even stopping and enquiring after the mornings sport.
