Lamping Batterys Joined Together?

Hi,I was just wondering if it would be possible to join 2 12v 7amp batterys together to make a 12v 14amp battery?If you could take pictures to show me great,but if not then fire away

yes wire + to + and - to -

then wire your lamp to a + and - on the same battery

Would i use the lamp connector fuses from deben?

Just remember the gas given off a battery is hydrogen so when it goes bang its like a bomb.

i know it says 6v on the image but it is the same for all batterys and id use 14s twin core wire, get it from any auto sparks

Tom how long do you go out lamping for ? that would give you a idea how big a battery you need, no point in carrying loads of weight about if you dont need to

You might be better joining two 6.7amps together be a bit lighter and give the same result you will need to wire it a bit different put the to batters facing top an tale join the + and the _ together and put your lamp wires on the two that are left hope this helps .atb Jamie

no it wont give the same results .. it will give 12v 7 amps ... op is talking of wanting 12v 14 amps

Just had a we think and you are right if you connect them in serie you double the voltage but keep the same amperage
if you connect them in parallell you keep the same voltage but double the amperage to much drink last night.

Thats what i was thinking two 6 volt 7 amp

But if you put two 12 volt batterys in line wont that give you 24 volts so your going to have to put a positive to a negitive ? to keep it at 12 volts
