whin 463 Posted August 18, 2007 Report Share Posted August 18, 2007 i ve never posted for a while to busy fishing working haveing fun but what bull i read haveing been far traveled , and seen several good hunting guys gals all over the uk the states etc the saluk crosss is the ultimate day time dog ,ive saw dogs with no saluk visible but the stamina was there , for running the big feilds localy on lamped,and daytime, hares regulary maybe 2 to 3 days a week some times ,ive yet to see them beaten , over a season or two seasons im sitting with a 4 yr old dog cost me thrty pounds in vet fees and caught me hundreds of game sensible steady loyal ,no leash on him etc, a clever dog who uses his head and speed ,now ive got good colie crosses infact very good and a whippet cross who is no slouch at the end of the season game wise vets bill wise hees in front in the open feilds, collie cross i keep bushesany were, nettles etc any were sheel die trying, whippet grew good little bitch but would burn out any more than two hard nights a week im talking when legal, big chases over even bigger land several runs a night or day, hares whatever, i know whos there at the end of the season diff dogs for diff strokes ,but the right blend youll get a good one saluk wise ive had them saw hundreds all over , all dogs who win and run nightly benefit from a dash of good line bred saluk , yet to see them betterd for big nights localy over a whole season Quote Link to post

I have run hares single handed day and night but nowadays all im interested in is Rabbits, Foxes and Bambi Quote Link to post
