Finally Found Out Whats Been Taking My Quails!!

Recommended Posts

Hi all

For the past month iv been losing a couple of quails aweek. I was not sure what was taking them as my coop as a 6ft fench around it that backs on to my garage with fishing line running on the tops :hmm: .....

Until last night at half past 9 i saw a bloody cat in the coop my hens are locked away at night but the quails hide under the bushes and under my chicken house.. I watched the cat jump off my garage roof into the coop it went straight under the bush and out with a young quail back up the garage roof and jumped on to my van bonnet. :icon_eek: So there it went the little C**T i was going to wait it out again and have it :hunter: but not worth the sh*t if it comes back to me.

Never been a fan of cats

Why don't you just roof the run?

one half is coroline roofed but the rest is open as its got a 5m long chicken wire fence running down oneside so nothing to take the weight :fool:

my dad bought one of those sonic sensor things from robert dyas i think,he reckons not had a cat in garden since, nor a neighbour that had one as well.
