Boils my piss all these benefit tests. Simple thing should be to bin them and go on medical records. As soon as a doctor says your unfit to work that should be enough. These tests are nothing short of a joke..."Can you pick up that empty box and put it on that table"........."Yes!!"........"Well your fit and able!!"............"And where is this £500 pound a week job where i lift a box and put it on a table?"....................Idiots!!!!

That is very true, In reality the chances of someone with a genuine disability being employed when there probably dozens and dozens of able bodied people trying for the same job is nearly zero, Doctors are the people who treat and understand peoples conditions. Even the professor who designed this test has said its flawed when used in the way ATOS are using it. Changing the names and tweaking the qualifying parameters of these benefits is just a reduction in monetary expenditure with attached spin

There job isn't to find employment though its simply to see if someone is able to work, yes or no. If you are able, why should you not be trying to? Lol mate, no I'm saying being disabled doesn't stop you from working. Sometimes you need to take the emotion out subjects like this and look at the hard facts. I totally admire the guys who fight for us, no doubt about it. But the panel don't take sentiments into consideration. I agree, wounded soldiers should get full army pay for life, but that's never gonna happen.

Being disabled as you say sometimes may not stop someone from having the capability to work, however it will be them at a disadvantage when trying to get work, despite what the government would like you to think and for all the disability right and acts they put through parliament, The truth is very few employers would pick a disabled applicant over an abled applicant. and to be fair why would they so shifting a load of people off one benefit onto another achieves exactly what? Its just more spin to say they have reduced the number of whatever benefit claimants that's this weeks talking point and saved some money in the process. Maybe rather than hounding disabled people and spending millions on unnecessary trumped up medical examinations, they should start a scheme offering employment to disabled people thats designed to suit there specific disabilities, and pays a living wage. If after this has been offered and turned down then yes you can call them scroungers

at rugby we had a coach whos wife was in an organisation over in Australia to give suitable jobs to people with disabilities which would suit there capabilities.......for example people in wheel chairs would have a working programme set up using a pc........

im not working at the moment due to personal circumstances what has left me being a widow with two children ,.........luckily I get me house paid for and I live off of a small benefit a week ,....which in reality don't pay for fook all ........apart from us being able to live.........when our youngest child goes to the secondary school I can have a serious look at it...........in the mean time I have gone in with a mate on a small holding and im aiming to try and make some profit out of it .......ive done it before but this time were going bigger and hopefully not just enjoying our own meat but making a few bob aswell.........when my wife was alive and was terminally ill she was able to claim the highest DLA benefit,...which aswell as my carers allowance and our child benefit ,...........we were financially very comfortable but having to live with a lot of shite,.........but now its all changed and me and me two boys are hitting hard times financially but im lucky to have good friends,........who help out here and there in different ways......

im appalled by the way some people are treated ,.especially the who have served country and queen ,.absoulutely disgraceful,............but the scroungers do all right out of the system ,........there the ones when you meet them all they talk about is there self ,..about such pain there in and all the medication there on,.........yet you see them always happy and doing things what amazes you due to there socalled incapacity.......always been the same I think ,......the bull shiters and actors always seem to do well ,.........whever its robbing the system or robbing customers ,.......one thing I have learnt which I think is so true ,........is that there is no money to be made through honesty and people who do well are the fraudsters and the ones who cut corners and con in a legal but deceivingly clever way .........what I cant work out is why do people still use them ,.........even people who have put them down still seem to use them and no matter how much of a bad reputation they have for cutting corners ,.........people still use them and im guessing because the end product is good ,...........people forget the corners what have been cut to get there in the end......I think I will stop there as im starting to confuse ones self........I hope you get me drift as its in all walks of life ,...........if you feed shite and the outcome is good no body will realise what was put into it before and that's just generally speaking

Unfortunately in the area I work I come into contact with a few injured soldiers...most of which are also homeless.... It really makes me sad. The army is not what it used to be, those boys are no longer serving great Britain, they are serving who ever has enough money to point on a map and make them go there, whether its got anything to do with the protection of our shores or not. They are seriously treated like shit, not longer fit and able? then Fk off and crawl into a cardboard box at the back of Argos.

 

I don't see this getting better until the Army turns round and begins to tell the Gov where to shove their orders till all the army is cared for.

it never used to be anything,no more than it is now believe me i served 6 in the infantry and came out able bodied thank feck because as we know there are those that do not, this Government is a fecking disgrace the way it treats our own and it aint getting no better in more ways than one cheers

oh and before my wife was going down hill I had to have a new hip at the age of 33 and they said I could claim injuries through disease caused by work as mine was rheumatoid arthritis ........( I had worked all my life to this point and I know its not that long but I worked until I dropped ) ,............after my claim was put in ,.they got back to me and said I wasnot entitled to it because I hadn't worked on a farm ...............fooking hell I was going mental and the only way of appealing they said was to write to our local mp ...........fooking crazy talk about them looking after there own ,.......I was furious

Thats the problem - a limited pot of money and lots of people wanting it. Some of them legitimate, some not - and some are very good liars. Some medical conditions are very hard to "prove" for example whiplash - anyone can complain of neck pain, you can't prove they haven't, they can't prove they have.

 

Of course these sort of cases are awful to hear about - but just as frequent as the "hard done by" cases are the cheats. People claiming benefits because they have acne and are too stressed to get a job because of it ? FFS. 6 kids killed in a fire started by their Dad, to try to get the benefits exclusively to them. The lengths people will go to is scary. Elderly people who don't know they are entitled to claim - and then young people who can't get off their backside to work, and demand that society pay for the kids they have. Feck off.
