GEOFF.223 83
No point in heating it as the metal are to thin a will expand boys metal at the same time. Put choke key in and tighten it more slight tap with small hammer and then whilst trying to screw out tap down on choke key with small hammer if this does work gunswith :,( I have seen it done with liquid nitrogen to freeze it worked but didn't sound to good Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
Another old trick is to stand the end in diesel for a few days. I've used that a few times and it works. Boiling water may have exacerbated the choke rusting and fusing to the threads. Leave it in the cabinet standing in diesel/diet coke/WD40 for a week or so, can't harm anyone and it's still shootable with a good all round choke. Quote Link to post
jmj121 30
Seen a gunsmith try to remove a stuck choke, he put the barrel in a ultra sonic bath for 1/2 hr and then it came out !!! Quote Link to post
Ratsmasher 36
I cant see it being welded in mate Ive got one and shoot 100 esp regular in about 40 min - i try to get round quick so i stay focused and that works out considerably more shots/hour than what you did and I dont clean as often as I should so I doubt you've welded it it would have to be properly hot to do that. Anyways if all else fails have a look at this worst case scenario 50 quid hope this helps Quote Link to post
nod 285
Leave it in. Don't matter what choke. You have in if your on target it dead anyway. Quote Link to post
