secretagentmole 1,701
Today is the first day I have finally been able to stand up and breathe without coughing up my kidneys, my voice is approaching normal again, temperature down, so I set off down the permission this evening to see if I could inflict some death, always makes you feel better that! The DPM NBC suits are dusted off again and are as comfy as ever! I managed to get a kit on the way down, well one for the dogs anyway! I saw one in the sheep paddock, got a line on it, fired and bounced off the blasted fence, again, boing and rabbit away like Usian Bolt or insane nuts! Not a lot around so I went for a walk, managed to get around 3 miles and wound up back at the grassy knoll (now nettly knoll), I got on the top and there was another rabbit, nibbling away near where insane nuts was! This one was not so lucky, one Crosman Premier later and it was 1 rabbit for conversion for humans! Nothing around so I went through the woods, had a coughing fit and scared every pigeon in a 200 yard radius, oh nuts! Anyway back out to the knoll and I saw the group that I call the Wise Rabbits at the top of the track, now these beggars have escaped every attempt to introduce them to HW powered lead poisoning (I was going to say Rapid lead poisoning but that still needs a service). Now there I am advancing down a track with no cover, two of them are indulging in a bit of play fighting. I walk slowly and carefully, I get to 50 metres from them and they freeze, one bolts for the hedgerow, one tries to stare me out. I stand there trying to do the nonchalant bush act. I eventually manage to get in the prone position and it is still there, trying to figure out who cut the bush down. I line up the Hawke SR and count the 5 metre steps to 50, hold, slowly press the trigger and whack, kick, dead bunny 2! At this point I took a photo! I got another kit later on, but it did not have the satisfaction of a 50 metre shot! So 2 rabbits for human consumption and 2 for canine consumption and stock making! 1 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
That is the HW100 KT, aka Otto Flick! A thoroughly reliable, dependable and hellishly accurate lead chucker! Got to get the Daystate rezeroed after the latest lot of scope merry go round! Quote Link to post
