haha you bellend, if that dog is comming on three and as you say kills lighting quick and never takes a bit then that must be the first WORKING dog who has never taken a bite, are you telling me that you really believe that the dog that won was a better WORKING dog than the one my mate had, i can tell you for FACT that that dog is nothing to turn your nose up at, i have seen it work, did i speak to the fella that won it, no i didnt why would i sure he could sit and tell you all the shit in the world. Your previous post speaks volumes, the dog that won wasn't a WORKING dog, that dog my mate had is, during the season that dog is WORKED 3 or 4 times a week sometimes more, thats the making of real WORKING dogs. just goes to show what i know haha your off your rocker you. Would be interesting to hear the reasons for judges picks though. Mybe we will see them altogether at shanes castle haha

aye alright cause you can tell how many gears a dog has by walking him around in a circle. I dont really take shows serious, they are supposed to be a good day out to meet other lads and have a few beer and abit of craic but if your gonny judge working dogs then you should know what counts but as you say thats my view

Here we f***ing go again this year bitching about who's dog should have won my dog is working his is not stop spoiling the shows for every one.and for what it's worth I didn't agree with some of the judges choices but winner of the fox class was not a pup and at the end of the day the judges choice is the one the counts that how any show no matter what is on show works

I didn't pick your mates dog because I preferred the other two dogs there was no fix and I don't know any class winners at the show.like it or not I would make the same choice again next week if I had to judge the same three dogs .

I would like to thank Barry,Joe,Terry and Ryan plus anyone that helped with the event on Sunday.

I thought the judges did a very competent job,the hound judge could of been better but that's life.

The racing was competitive and fast and ran smoothly .I can see good times ahead for this club now they have gone alone.

good luck in future,Tom.

A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN THE COUNTRY SPORTS  ARENA
As we approach the end to 2025, I would like to reach out and personally thank  all my friends in Country Sports for all  the hard work you  put into  organising our dog show and race days in 2025 for all to enjoy. These were all fantastic events and truly served as a wonderful window for our Country Sports fraternity.
Days like these at our dog shows in the summer are so important for our community, and your details and dedication to the cause has really shone through. So many charities have benefited over the years and so many new friends made at these get togethers  by like minded people. This was very evident in July this year when the Burren Working Dog Club gave £17,OOO to a charity. What an achievement.

I know there will be some very sad homes  this year,  with places missing at the  dinner table  in  our Country Sports  community. Can I please offer my heartfelt sympathy to all those people , and  hopefully with Gods help you will get through to brighter days ahead.

Many thanks to the McGrath Racing Club Carlow, for a great day out at the 5 Nations and who has travelled north and south of the border to run our racing so efficiently and helped me out on many occasions..  A special word of thanks to Tally Ho ( Peter Morgan ) for keeping the Country Sports window open in the dark days of winter by organising your virtual competitions and giving away so many generous prizes in return. This is so greatly appreciated .

And Finally, to my mentors and long term friends  Mr 5 Nations himself, yes The King of the Castle Albertj Titterington and his lovely wife Irene. Albert it is great to see you getting back to health again, and we look forward to seeing you back on the scene in 2026.

Finally, Finally, may I take this opportunity  to  wish you all North and South of the border and further afield a very Happy Christmas and  Prosperous  New Year.

To we meet again in 2026 God Bless

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
