B.P.R 2,798
With next doors husband being away to afghanistan, i agreed to help out with the walking with his young dog, as and when i can. So on my way out the door with my hounds i decided to grab next doors (collie x husky/akita) 6 month...and take it with me. Headed to a local field as i knew it was all fenced and the dog couldnt get away if it wanted. This dog is what i would call 'a pain in the arse', due to the wifey not being arsed and not having a clue. We have helped them out with leads, collars, food and advice etx....but its falling on deaf ears it hasnt EVER been let off the lead So, let all the dogs off on the field to expel some energy and the hounds had a sprint about making the pup dizzy the poor bugger couldnt keep track of where they were, ended up doing its own thing. Headed to the river on our usual walk and was surprised to see the youngster the first one in!! Followed by mine.....except the whippet ...who got chucked in...... Continued on our walk, back up the hill and home. The wee dog was fcuked but thoroughly enjoyed itself. Maybe the wifey will see after it calms down tonight and chills out,, that, thats just what the dog needs and a 5 minutes walk round the block doesnt cut it. For all its problems wee 'marley' was as good as gold for me with my dogs 3 Quote Link to post

Huan72 687
Fantastic, great to see Marley mixing in. Did well to last the day with your dogs considering hes not used to exercise. Good on Marley, good on you and good on your dogs I love to see different breeds socialising and doing their thing, that breed mix could do with an experienced owner............................you seem to have bonded already Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
Yep. Manky fox in one of the bottom pic. Dead, decomposting and been pissed on every time the dogs pass it I tell ye, wee marley will be flat out next door. Maybe it might make her see its what he needs Hes got lots of problems associated with a lack of training at these early stages...not housetrained, jumps up relentlessley to the point you stay away and food aggression (until i bounced him across the kitchen)... We help as much as we can, he will be a powerful dog and kids are in the house...but theres only so much you can do. 1 Quote Link to post
Neoleaver 55
good lookin pup that, make a good house guard/companion with the right amount of time and effort. Does my head when you see dogs with a lot to offer go to ruin, owners that struggle with a complete basket case of an unsocialized, unpredictable liability, all for the want of some basic training. How many people dya see letting the dog drag em down the street not even attempting to correct it, then they blame the dog when it gets aggressive or destructive. Stupid and lazy, living with an untrained dog is a massive chore, no joy in it. Quote Link to post
countrycommando89 7
really good to see. people just try to live with the problems the dog creates as appose to cure them. which if you ask me is the most rewarding part of owning a beast Quote Link to post
