Crow 1
Terriers & Terriermen is an extremely sought after book so I'm not surprised it's going for a good price. Admittedly, you could get a terrier pup for that sort of money, but unlike a pup the book will be worth a damn sight more in 20 years time Crow Edited August 2, 2007 by Crow
higgins 75
Crow, I Know what your saying here, but don't get me wrong i've enjoyed and treasured some books in the past, but i would think if i spent £200 on a good terrier and the memories that would come from him out working in the field,i would say that £200 was an investment,if i had spent £200 on a book about what will eventually become the past ,then i'm not so sure as the book could be superseded by another book of todays hunters and terriers,we have to look forward not back,i believe we are still evolving as a hunting communty, the book will be useful in years to come as a reference, but there are still people doing now what they did then and maybe better is yet to come, all the best, Higgins. scruff 1
Lets say i have a copy ( ) what would anyone like to offer me for it. Is it fetching the £200 mark ? David said he's seen them go for that plus more. One went two week ago for £102 01 on a well known auction site, and there was also one on the same site about 3 months ago that sold for £120.00. if you are selling yours pm me with the price and if i can afford it i will buy it.
