BORDERSCOT 3,816
Boxing looking after its own folk - Don Cockell was a better fighter than folk recall... Good film this - big names gathering to honour Cockell who died a few months after this was filmed...
Brigzy 1,298
Marciano said he'd never hit a man so hard, so, often or so many times as he did to Cockell in their fight. It basically finished Don for the rest of his career, but he never gave up in that fight and, as I remember, the ref stopped the fight.

gnasher16 31,602
Borderscot your certainly coming up with some good finds lately mate ................Its something i love about the tradition of boxing in this area it doesnt forget the older generations even today the London Ex Boxers Association does some great work for former fighters. Heard a lot of people say Cockells corner should of pulled him out a good few rounds earlier against Marciano.....brave tough man though.
