WILF 49,920
There should be a film made of this mans exploits. As a founder member of the SAS who plagued the nazis in the desert he deserves his place in history beyond his birthplace in Newtownards. Liam Neeson for the lead? I think there was something about him in that war museum which I think is on the Newtownards road.....can't rightly remember the road, but they have trenches and things set up in there. It's all about Ulster soldiers in the war anyway. i think your on about the somme heritage centre between ards and bangor. That's the one mate, good little place that.....came across it by accident.did you go into it or did you see it on the net?No, went in there mate.......been in the Ulster folk and transport museums too......I'm a regular culture vulture ! Lol lol I also found the grave of the ships doctor off the Titanic in the graveyard of the Abbey in Bangor, totally by accident to Edited March 20, 2013 by WILF
