staffyspen 43
staffyspen... where do you source your bits from... and are they british made? thats one thing i like about ss gear , being all british made parts All collars, leads and harnesses are made with traditional methods, hand cut and stitched using high quality bridle leather, brass rings and fittings sourced in Britain, all made in Walsall, West Midlands. I wouldn't try and sell shit to anyone, I use these day in and day out on other breeds, as I will with the lurcher type collars, the image I used was for illustration purposes only, these are not my collars. These are for people who want a quality, lasting, hand made leather collar for the charges, not for everyone! Regards Spence 1 Quote Link to post

Bluebell h 69
Why do people want massive collars on lurchers ? Surely they are sum thing to get snagged on [BANNED TEXT] going threw hedges .and they must make a racket [BANNED TEXT] ur dog goes under a five bar gate. No disrespect to the fella making them . Thanks for the constructive critism, I use collars while road walking the dog, I believe bigger collars protect the throat more so than a thin collar or rope. True these are probably more desirable to the show goers, which may be the minority, I'm not sure! I don't seen these making as much noise as a human climbing over a gate but do see you point about getting snagged, which I why I don't use a collar now on my dog whilst lamping. Thanks again, Regards Spence Quote Link to post

No disrespect to the fella making them . i would not every think of running my dogs on quarry with a collar on....where i run my dogs ,.....but if you run big flat land with no obsticles....then it would not be a big deal...,and as said before...i use a collar for road walking, walks to parks etc.....not running them on quarry....thats a bit dangerous... .....and yer dog should be jumping gates,no noise.. ...atb... Thanks for the input and I appreciate critism. I like the aesthetic look of the collar and the practicality of it whilst walking, I do show, staffords, may even try my hand at showing my beddy x whippet, ill also use one of these collars as its my choice. I agree the dog should be on the judges mind, not the show set or handler, conformation and condition being upmost important., by ill turn my dog out in the best condition and the best collar I can afford!
