Question for you guys that own a sniped hob. Do you keep the hob in with the jills all year? Would it be better to leave the hob in with one jill at a time and once there no longer in season leave the hob on its own untill its no longer in season. The randy f****r keeps making a mess of one jills neck (another getting that way), had to leave the jill on its own for a few days to let it heal, soon as the jill was back in neck was in some mess. Also i know its normal for jills to get marked, the hob has one tooth abit broken not sure if thats making things worse.

I usually leave him in but that's one hob to six jills and sometimes theres other jills going into the hutch as well but he was a older laid back hob ,is your's a younger hob ?.

As the one has said, some young hobs can be very brutal and if there are only a couple of jills it can be rather messy. The act of mating should bring the jill out of season. It sometimes brings them into a pseudo pregnancy, but your hob will remain 'in season' and if he is very keen he may continue with the dragging around and neck biting. If you're concerned isolate him and bring the jills to him as and when required.
