Macky 227
the most cunning fox i have ever caught was when a friend of mine was using an olt call and he was good at that ,we were roadsing and my friend spotted a fox in the distance so we parked up ,got out of the vehicle at the time we had 3 lurchers ,so we got out and my mte started to call the fox started to come in ,my mate and i both had a lamp and the road was only narrow ,2 edges on either side the fox came in to about 50 yards ,we slipped the dogs they got about 4 bends in it and then it came through the first hedge and ran across the road ,i then ran over with my lamp as it went through the other hedge there was no sign of the fox and the dogs had followed it through the hedge, the lurchers where running around in the field as i had told my friend it had not run across the field or up the hedge ,my mate stood back when i was telling him this as he put the lamp on and said you are not going to believe this ,the cheeky b*****d had not gone through but hid in the hedge so my mate went over to the hedgerow and kicked it ,the fox had dropped out and the lurchers got it ,but this was many years ago but if the fox did the same now ,i would just turn and walk away 1 Quote Link to post

j1985 1,984
Sounds like the geezer shouldn't be shooting rabbits let alone foxes if he's blowing legs off!! Iv seen a fox slow right up let the Lurcher close in and almosts strike then do a sharp turn making the dog over shoot, I told a mate this who said he's seen em do it at gates and holes in hedges sending the dog through em whilest they trot away.
