happyferret123 13
My sisters guinea pig had that happen. A bit of hay got behind the eye. its a bit disgusting to get it out, The antibiotics will clear up an infection but wouldn't get rid of anything behind the eye, have they had a proper check in the eye? That why I don't personally use hay for my ferrets. just wood shavings, and blankets. Quote Link to post
ratpackjack 272
Have given her blankets today she is snug as a bug and her eye is clear so maybe dust, and yes they did have a good look in her eye. Quote Link to post
AndyKelly 251
same as kids - i no this sounds funny, i no there lactose intolerant, but wipe the eye with cows milk and a fresh cotton bud or kitchen paper then throw it and use a fresh wab till the stickness goes, cows milk has a natural thing in it that stops redness and conjunctavitis, its just a bugger to stop them tring to eat the paper with the milk on it lol Quote Link to post
ratpackjack 272
Lol it seems ok now i changed bedding she seems rather happy ,but if it returns i will try that and she is to lazy to eat the paper lol Quote Link to post
