woz 260 Posted March 6, 2013 Report Share Posted March 6, 2013 We've been off grid for a couple years now...we use 6 x 80w solar panels.....£79 each Mppt controller. £60 18 x 6v traction batteries....feckin expensive... We run led lights...19" flat screen tv...stereo....laptop charger...water pumps..fridge....got enough power all year no problems....recon we have payed its self back now and are on free living......if I'm running washing machine or power tools iv got a lister cs genny which runs bio or will do 4kva for 5 hrs on a litre of red derv... 4 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Yeh the batteries are trojen.....the cs is a genuine starter matic and there doin decent money at moment.....I got a cs 6.1 rebuilt on a trailer ready to rally of put a gen head on...£600. ..its had genuine lister piston n liner..runs v well....Shropshire.. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
