Elliott 436
Must admit lads, I've never heard of the Spectra either but they do look very nice. Look forward to seeing some video footage Oh and Davy, did Si buy you the Spectra? If so you lucky devil Thanks Elliott. Yes the rifle and scope was a present from me and LJ to Davy for being a great friend to us both over the past 3 years and being there for us first along with my mum and step dad when we fell on hard times when i was going through my divorce. Without even being asked Davy offered help, friendship and sometimes money ( now fully paid back) out of the goodness of his own heart. How many would do that? Probably not many. Davy is a great, true and genuine friend to us both and LJ loves him like a big brother. He also will be my best man at our wedding in May Si. Nice one Si, sounds like Davy deserves it. Nice to hear you're now in a position to repay the favor. Well done to both of you! 2 Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,589
That's an amazing pair of rifles for an amazing pair of mates! you just GOTTA make a shooting vid of these Spectres performing at all-range targets out to the furthest you both can push em to! Jesus I want one.....looks amazingly sweet. But Sandwell Field Sports custom HW rifles always did look really special. Gizzashot when I'm down again Davy? Helen would love one of these for herself! Marvelous. Simon 1 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Sooooo jealous of you right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really want to know how the balance of the sidewinder affects your guns!! Hi Wood, It doesn't effect the rifle at all in fact when I shoulder it it sits on the aim lovely. When Davy tried his he said the same thing. Missing 25 yard standing HFT shots is now only our own faults. Si. Quote Link to post

Marvelous. Simon Hi Simon, Thanks for the comments mate. Yes we will do a full review of the rifles once we get them run in and calibrated. Tony said 150 to 200 pellets to sort these out but i think ill pop 500 through mine and then adjust the power if need be to about 11 FP before calibrating it with the new SR Pro. Davy chronoed his last night over 60 ish shots and noted every shot as he took it and it was amazing to see how the rifle started in the low 11's and very slowly climbed up as more shots were fired and its internals started to bed in just as Tony said it would when we were testing them in the range. He really knows his stuff that man. Si. Edited February 16, 2013 by zini 2 Quote Link to post

davyt63 1,845
hi i am using Air Arms field 8.4 grain 4.51's x 400 & Air Arms field 8.4 grain 4.52's x 100 the tightest group i got was after the first 100 next to the five pence piece the objective here was to POA was the black dot which was in a 10mm circle and just squeeze, much more fun than just shooting 500 plus shots into the ground, each 100 shots took me 35 minutes.this is the way i bed any new rifle in,the target was set at 20 yards, not by choice but by garden. so its not bad for a new rifle just beginning its bedding in i have yet to zero this at 35 yards yet and will do at the SHS Sunday and if all goes well i will use it around the course 3 Quote Link to post
