bobcullen79 1,495
Hey up. Anyone remember those 20p`s with bit`s missing? They were fetching £50 each when they were first found, then as more came to light, the arse fell out of them.... Well a few of years back, I got a mis-print 5er from the bank, and being brand new, I got the consecutive note too, so Ive kept it. I thought I`d contact a coin collector to see what it would be worth, to which he replied, "Oh yeah, that particular mis-print was quite common, its worth about £140, not much.... But if you wanted to sell it we would be interested" Anyone ever seen this "quite common" mis-print then? The chief cashier has changed from Andrew Bailey to Chris Salmon since. She said no its blank. So off to the bank I marched, I got as far as the shop door before realising I might have something special.. Shortly after getting it, I had a look at ebay and there was an old tenner with a mild mis-print, some of the ink had run... He wanted 10,000....

bobcullen79 1,495
I`m not sure Tomo, I dont think so, it wasn`t even that noticable, some of the ink had run from the opposite side onto the queens face, looked more like a washing machine job. Mad what some collectors will pay though for curiosities..
