foxtails 272
what are peoples views on squirrel/rat hoppers? any good? Quote Link to post
Matt 160
There is a big difference between squirrel hoppers and rat hoppers. The galvanised squirrel hoppers, with a magnetic perspex door (the magnet means that nothing smaller than a squirrel should be able to get to the bait) are a very useful tool for controlling squirrel populations in commercial forestry between March and August. The rat hoppers on the other hand are OK, but due to the amount of bait they hold are not legal to use IMO. Don't forget that the maximum bait point size for most rodenticides in now 200g, so a hopper that holds a kilo (or more in some cases) would only be legal to use if you part filled it. Natural bait points and burrow baiting are by far the best way to get quick bait uptake in most instances in my experience. Quote Link to post

moxy 617
No. Both are anticoagulants. But you can only use rat poison for rats and squirrel poison for squirrels Quote Link to post
