my lurcher pups somtimes look a bit tin they get fed twice a day on pedro gold and also get boild chicken its just sometimes could it be as there getting older and taking a strecth there wormed to date cant put my finger on it its only the odd time they go like that i feed them a lot of feed so that isnt the issue any toughts on this tanxs

 

 

a pup should be well covered all the time ence the word (puppy fat), and more so this time of the year .When you say fed twice a day, how much is 1 meal in portion etc. My pup Buck on 2 feeds a day, he as 1lb raw mince chicken and 4 1/2 mid size cups of high protein in a day. even when they start to shoot up and go leggy they should still well coverd. how old is your pup ,? mine 5 month old 23 in and pleny of meat on him to keep him warm in his kennel

thanks your right about like a wolf lol, when he been running in the snow, he as been grabbing Bryn back hock, and stopping him from running. he looks just like them timber wolfs you see on the nature telly progams pulling down deer, i swear he training on Bryn lol !

Make sure there kept nice and warm if kept in a kennel, add abit of suet to their main meal once a day through the winter months.

Our 3 pups have 2 heat lamps on through the night, and 1 on through the day time, good luck with them.

nice pups if my dogs are getting there mix plus extra meats that is enough protein contained in both feeds the red mills racer 27 percent and still no difference so it mat do not changing any more feed for them to still b the same they surely will snap out of it wat there on now is more than enough i tink and so do others tanxs for the help my pups are a hellof a lot smaller than them in the pic

Sometimes its as well to feed smaller meals but more often.

My pups are still fed 4 times a day ,and they're 15 weeks old.I'll do this until they're 6 months old, then drop them down to 3 meals a day

Its easier for them to digest, and they aren't overloaded this way.

Also mine have raw chicken wings every day

Add some pics ,they might not be as thin as you're thinking

Simply not to overload their stomach.

I'm not saying everyone should feed this way, but being retired I'm in a postion to be able to.

wat breed ar yoyr pups mate .there grand to day weight is fine like i said they only go like this evry so foten so tink it could b that there taking a stretch i will put pics up when laptop is fix sd card got stucj init lol

Try em with 3 feeds and leave the mince raw.
