tiger82 43
Yes cant see them making good workers like. what you need is a nice confident and tame ferret Polecats will tend to shy away spending more time in the nest box and stuff because of the wild instinct. onthehunt 40
Glad this topic came up cos I mentioned on an earlier post that I was charged more for my new kit cos he was a darker colour than the other kits its a bit strange. he is very dark and I have been wondering for a while now if I was sold a real eu and not just a dark ferret? he's a gem to have around and has tons of character but he does get a nervous and is very alert to everything around him. I can't for the life of me tell the difference between a dark ferret and a eu polecat and have uploaded a photo of him Edited June 20, 2013 by onthehunt Link to post

I also saw some previous adverts on the net by the same breeder from 2009 onwards and found the prices were £60 His parents looked as dark as him and the father was quite a small hob. are male eu's meant to be larger than male ferrets??? dunno. but he is such a lovely boy just like a standard ferret kit that I find it hard to believe he's pure or X myself Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
What you have is a ferret bud,, nothing more. The sandys in the litter should have been a clue. He is not a x or a eu or owt like that, just a dark (expensive) ferret. Once bitten though eh? ATB Link to post

ATB No the sandys were in a separate litter! am not stupid I saw all the parents too but don't recall being told he was an eu or if I was I obviously wouldn't have been paying attention. like I said, he is nervy and reactive to everything but not what I expect a pure eu to behave like so am more than happy if he is just an ordinary ferret how are you so sure what an eu kit looks like? do you have any?
