It really isn't worth not doing it, they make your life very difficult if you don't. Get a good accountant to teach you the ropes and you can declare everything and still do well. All these clever arses selling loads on ebay and everywhere else without declaring it, will all get sussed in the end, and if you've used the money you earned but not declared to pay towards your house or car ........... guess who'll be along next once HMRC have lubed you up nicely!?
