mole trapper 1,705
Selling a lot to local pubs and resturants at the moment, only get £1.50 but better than burying them, also the dogs and ferrets are getting through a lot at the moment, especially with all the young ferrets i am bringing on. Aled 587
Frozen rabbits being sold here for £3.50 each, however they are farmed, wild rabbits in Cardiff market caught by lurcher used to go for £3.25 about 2 years ago. Hope this is of interest. Cheers Al Jeeeeeeeeeeez Aled, be worth me tramping up there Al I had a chat with the butcher there and this chap with a lurcher brought them up to the Cardiff from Pembrokeshire, don't forget though guys these are what the butcher was selling them for. He probably bought them in at lot less. What i will also say is that waste ground, commomns, and even grassed rounabouts in Cardiff were full of Coney, in far higher concentrations than i saw them at home in Dinefwr! Guest Ditch_Shitter
Its amazing,.but the average price of rabbits £1.00 a piece has not changed much in decades... That's exactly what I came here to say, Chalks! It's incredible, isn't it? A loaf of bread now costs more than what one might expect for a rabbit ~ and yet, thirty years ago, the money ye'd get for a rabbit was exactly the same as today. Only that pound note was worth a pound. Why are rabbits so devalued??? Crazy thing is, I'll never forget how in Hull, where we liturally had wild rabbits in the very city centre, my butcher sold tame bred ones for eight and half, even a tenner a piece! And those bloody things sold too! Crazy. Stubby; That was a cracker, mate!
