Ratkilla, im not sure i follow you, why would i be pissed by the fact it was a possum? i hunt whatevers in the hole, could be Racoon, possum, or fox , im not fussed what it is as long as the dogs are getting out and working

The reason why i said that because i see possums as a waste of time, when you break through they are sulled up and doing nothing apart from playing dead....how's that a test for a fine breed working terrier? i'm not happy to hunt them, but then again its better than a drawing a blank or a skunk.

Ratkilla, You said it in your last statement , its better than drawing a blank, or like you said hitting in on a skunk !! i know there not the best thing to dig, but for the young 10 month old bitch to have a look at and get a hold, its a good confidence boost for her

Not a deep dig today but bad going, lots of tree roots and the frost was down deeper than i first thought, T my border bitch was to ground with her 10 month old daughter having a look at the end -12c wind chill was not nice, now ive had a nice hot shower and a glass of Glenmorangie in hand, life is good
