bull hound or collie hound.....

Recommended Posts

according to him his dog is grand.. i asked him would he swap because im looking for a fast dog for both quarrys but my 3 quarter hound quarter collie is too soft and gets cut easily and also has soft pads i.e not good in stubble!!..we were only exchanging stories over the phone about the dogs.. what would u choose Sam?

I'm no expert at all mate. You know the dogs and this other guy.

I'd just be wondering why he's thinking about getting rid of a dog that does well on different quarries. At the end of the day you have to choose mate. Maybe his dog is a better dog than yours mate. If it is and he's willing to swap then fair play

All I'd say is that if I was after a dog to do more than what mine do I would either make sure I had enough room for another and go out and get a pup or just accept that I chose the dog I chose and wait until the dog pops its clogs.

ATB anyway mate

Yeah mate, swap the dogs; then next week swap it for some thing else ! Hopefully in a few weeks you can swap whatever dog you have for an "X Box" or an "I 'Phone " !!

lads cop the fu*k on now!!! ive only been lamping about 5 years im still under 18!!!! most of ye have over 10-20 years of experience over me so less of the shite if ur not gona help me FU*K O*F!! all i wanted was a few opinions on the topic!! :censored:

When i was new to the game i too was never happy with what was in the kennel, always wanted something faster, kill more, jump higher etc. Swapped and sold dogs id love to own now. With a few years under the belt,a few more holes have been added to the girth,id never swap or trade in a mutt now,all the months of training, conditioning and eventually working the jukel help forge a bond that a swap or trade could not replace, even if the barter ended up with a better mutt, which it seldom does not.Keep with what youve got, utilise it to its ability and the owners, don,t look for greener pastures, because they seldom are,you don,t have to own the best lurcher to catch more than a man with a better dog.

You wanted opinions and thats what you got, you dont have to like them. Try making the most of the dog you've got rather than trading them like a kid whos got bored of his toys. And you wont get much constructive advice if you tell people to "f**k off" when you dont like what they say.
