Recommended Posts

well I've used both and found that laptops are cool if you want less "clutter", but my old desktop was soooooo powerful

So guys, help an old geezer out here.............I want summat that doesn't "sit & think" but is compact/powerful and not in ya face

I use an iPad 2, can't fault it for your general Internet type computing thingy's - easy to use, no fuss, slowdown, etc.

Once you want to start putting multimedia like films and music on it it does tend to make you jump through inflexible hoops that are set in stone by Apple and the restrictions the place on you start to piss you off. If I was looking to replace this pad I'd be looking at the high end Android tablet equivalents like the galaxy tab..

Mac book pro, small and very powerful. I can open the lid search for something on the internet and closet down whilst my works Dell laptop is still booting up !

Why do you keep turning it off? I just close my screen. Open it whenever, type password, there I am online. Only time I shut it down is for updates to software.
