I'd have thought the scent of the ferret is more of a danger sign to dead rabbits, and as soon ad the scent goes they'll be back. I assume rabbits die in the ground all the time through illness and injury so they'd be more than used to having the odd few dead ex rabbits lying about the place.. Quote Link to post
Carraghs Gem 1,699
I assume another predator stoat/fox/badger will smell the kill and dig it up depending how deep it is... Rat wouldnt turn down a free meal either? Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
I asked the same question a while ago. When you think about it, has as been said, rabbits die underground all the time, its natural. Some one also said that because most kill in`s will happen in a stop end, rabbits will wall them in, making a tomb... Quote Link to post
