Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
well heres a 75 shot string hw97kt .177 with Gaystate Rangemaster Li 7.9 gr unwashed unweighed rifle from new has had about 400 pellets through. still bedding in but id have thought it would still be more consistent than this. groupings at 35yards have closed up a bit tighter to about 2 inches still not good enough tho. this is with me concentrating hard, my 95k hits 5p sized groups very nicely at the same range.. got jsb exact 4.52s to try after i pull the barrel through, hopefully they will give better results. one thing i did notice is the Li's are pretty inconsistent in my barrel some go in easy others have to be rammed in pretty hard Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Ive seen worse ......... and do you really think it matters that much Scot ? Is it going to affect your shooting ? OR , are you going to notice any difference ?? I personally dont think you will , thast the trouble with chrono`s ........they make you paranoid 2 Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
mind you, just glad it isnt over the limit !! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
try different pellets, but personally i'd be looking to at least strip down degrease polish and relube. I have very little faith in Weihrauch from the new guns i've owned and worked on. That said, 40 fps isn't too bad from a new springer. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Skot, I think that you are best to try another brand of pellet in the rifles barrel buddy. 2 inch groups at 35 yards is terrible pal. That means that your max range with the rifle is probably going to be around 17.5 yards to 20 yards ish. Try H & N FTT pellets buddy. I'm sure they will be better mate, if not then try RWS Super Fields in .177 Si. Quote Link to post

Mawders 595
I to have come to the conclusion out the box the majority of HW's are not all they are cracked up to be! Luckily mine came from new stage 1 tooned by my mate Tony at SFS. Incredible 95 but get lazy and toon or no toon it lets you know! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
Tx200 might've been the better choice for both of you eh Mawders? Quote Link to post
