Nowadays i'm using metal nets (Tubes) plus a few cotton home made nets. The tubes also home made are working quite well.

 

What are metal nets? Do you mean similar to bolt traps?

Spun poly. Nothing smaller than 3.6ft. I dont like the heavy nylon ones, they feel a bit stiff. Especially when they get a bit muddy then dry out.

4ft 10 z nylon evereytime IMO you can't beet them,easy to handle/untangle and very good catchers as long as they well made and you can pick them up for around £1. each

Everyone has there prefrence it's 4ft spun polyester in all the bright colours for me they are easy to see don't rot don't tangle handle nice and are not to hard on the hands if you make your own

Yeah the spun poly is nice to knit with. I made a net out of 12z nylon my hands were a mess.
