weasle 1,119
Tommo i suggested something similar, but he was worried he'd lose some of the stamina,so think hes thinking of a saluki, greyx whippet or something along those lines. As for her strike its good,The main thing shes missing is speed,If she went a stride faster she would still not be fast.So all you could do is find a good dog and hope for the best.Just the same as you might lose stamina,Constitution, etc. Thats why i put it up here you here about all these faultless dogs being breed from,I have never seen a dog without a fault some where. Doubt he`s in any hurry any way,The bitch will carry on working he will carry on pondering Fast dogs lose a bit of pace as they get older if its the same for slow ones it will be that that forces the decision. poacher3161 1,766
Fast type coursing dog would be my choice more chance of breeding more natrual running ability into pups rather than a streight grey or non ped whippet . Quote Link to post
stabba 10,745
Simple..Just find a dog with all her attributes that is a tad faster..just because she is slow dont mean the pups will be..atb stabba 1 Quote Link to post

sikastag_1 689
If its catching 30s that's good numbers mate, puttin racier dogs over half xs takes away something I like about half xs and thats there ability to absorb knocks a lot better and be a bit more ruff and tumble. Obviously depending what the half x was Edited October 22, 2012 by grant_c Quote Link to post
