Mitsubishi shogun 2.5

Recommended Posts

They're tanks. The only things i've had to buy is tyres, service etc. It only has 46k on the clock mind you. 25 ish i would say around town. I can get from Paisley to the Dee in Aberdeen which is aprrox 150 mile for about 25 ish quid. I only really used it going fishing so i was mostly m'way driving with it

1 of the best. The nightmare single track roads i've been on with it getting down to beats and it sails down them. Wish i had a tenner for the amount of people i've pulled out of snow with it also. I would certainly recommend them. I'm a bit gutted selling it to be honest but i just don't get the use out of it any more and at the time i bought it i needed the 7 seats but not any more

hi mate, keep away from the 2.5 mitzy's,the engine's are crap.anytime after they reach 90,000 the crank pully's decide they want to part company with the crankshaft.. £1400 repair or a new engine(if you can find one)..look on ebay mate at all the spare's or repair's most of them have done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for that I was thinking of a 2.5 aswell ha! Don't really want to get anything bigger fuels to expensive

There won't be much difference between the 2.5 and 3.2 in terms of fuel

They're really not much different from any other type of car...keep your foot off the gas and it won't guzzle. For what they are, they are fairly decent on fuel

If you can get one (easy enough) The 2.8 pajero is a much better option. The 2.5 is a great motor but the 2.8 is better, and a pajero is waaaay better than a shogun !!! lol,,, no rust, better gearbox, more toys etc etc

They are pretty unburstable, heavy duty motors, they will do anything you want, and an import Pajero is only 200 quid road tax

there's not much difference between the 2.8 and 2.5 fuel wise, but the 2.8 is a far better engine..i had a l200 and the krank pully went on it. when i looked into it its a common fault with the 2.5 engine, wether in the l200 or the shogun.so my advise is go for a 2.8 mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same as Night Blaster, my SWB is a 1989 MK1 and its done 106,000 miles and its brilliant. Goes anywhere, very cheap to fix and maintainance is a scoosh, easiest car I've worked on. Brakes a doddle, half hour tops! Great wagons...only bother is they like diesel!!!
