man o kent 269
Turns out my permission never materialised. Any suggestions to try and pick up some ratting for me, my patt bitch, (both novices), and my mate with his russell (done it before). Live in a village in kent, so plenty of farms, smallholders about. Just wondered what the best way to go about it was, to make the right impression and avoid the local bunnyhuggers? Going to beat for the nearby shoot , so maybe. Cheers all Quote Link to post

Cheers all ratting on a shoot is normally done prior to the poults coming and at the end of the season. local farms are also glad to see someone willing to kill rats, once you get one to give you a chance provided you do a good job then normally the doors start to open to other permisions.
