gary.l 61
Hi all, I have a bit of a rat infestation out around my chicken coop and I'm thinking of buying a 12ft/lb springer, I had a theoban eliminator crow magnum years ago and it broke every scope I ever put on it, it ended up costing me a fortune in scopes so I traded it for my first centerfire. My question is, will a 12ft/lb springer break scopes? Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Scopes are fragile these days Many are designed for purely PCP or Centrefire guns. All Hawke Scopes are designed to withstand the sub 12 Springers recoil So I would go with them Tony Quote Link to post

AirgunGuy 362
Another vote for the Hawke scopes. I have 2 and they're great. No need to spend hundreds on a scope for sub 12FPE imho. The Hawke Sport range are decent enough. I have 1 on my 97k and it's fine Quote Link to post
