Wxm 1,638
im in the process of talking the missus around to getting a wee dog for me and the boys to take out mooching, i really like the borders but after seeing me stripping a mates she's ruled them out , we also looked at gettin a whippet but where i go is really thick and dence with cover, so im assuming the whippet will get ripped to shreads . the bedlington i think has a lot to offer with mooching and become a handy ferreting dog too. Are their any good lines / breedings to watch out for? does anyone know of any planned litters? any pics of full beddys are welcome. cheers in advance  wxm Quote Link to post
northern lad 2,293
Might be worth a look on the working bedlington forum mate, theres plenty of kc stock knocking about but working stock is very thin on the ground most of the stuff bred today is too large for earthwork, but if you want a bushing/mooching/ferreting dog size wont be an issue, Gutchcommon/Rillington lines are the ones id look for personally but there are others on here better qualified than me to advise you ,all the best with whatever you choose.Dave Quote Link to post
lawrence 657
a small lurcher sounds like it would suits your needs better, you'll certainly catch more with one. Quote Link to post
Rory4 267
A beddy whippet sounds perfect. As Lawrence said and you will catch some stuff Quote Link to post

A beddy whippet sounds perfect. As Lawrence said and you will catch some stuff yeah your both right but the problem is i fcuked up a wee bit and pissed about on the missus soooo when i used to say about getting a lurcher you could see what she was thinking :icon_redface: and would always in a arguement  the best part thou was it wasnt when i was out hunting :wallbash: (the things you do when ahh she'll never find out ehh ) so 1 step at a time soo to speak  lurcher wise id be going for a saluki collie whippet greyhound, or beddy whippet greyhound as both have done what i wanted years back (only reason i parted with them is due to living at mums house and she was on my back with school / leaving school and getting work 10 years ago) Quote Link to post
