The (RIP) bitch in my Avatar was bitten by an adder so now I always carry some Piriton tablets in my phone case.

(she didn't die through it though but her foot swelled up big style).

I just hate snakes period ! Yeah, I'm one of those ...ironic seeing as how many types of really bad snakes we have in Oklahoma. And some of the sheer numbers that I've seen them in. Shudder...gives me the creeps.

 

I wish all snakes shared the same head so I could chop it off.

I used to see loads when i was a kid, have not seen one since probably due to the change in agriculture over the years, lots of areas been cleared for planting to make use of every inch of land. But they will hear you long before you see it and be gone you have to be very quiet if you know wear they are and Waite down wind just same as if you were after a Rabbit: Dave

is that a slowworm??, we get them here, we call them a slow worm tho, an they are actually a legless lizard rather than a snake, if its the same thing, im scared shitless of snakes, but my lad got a hatchling corn snake for his birthday a gew weeks ago an it seems to have eased my fear a wee bit

That is a sloworm I think. Not seen any since I've moved, the place I moved from is lifting with them. Used to collect about 6 at a time in my mums garden..

We have a stack of snakes in the bush in our area, we all wear knee high gaurters, they realy do work especially over a pair of long pants. The vast majority of bites occur between the knee and ankle so therfore the gaurters.
