i built a farm shed near an earth house . i cant remember exactly where but it was in the borders i drove through gala i think and stayed in a little village pub that was called the horse and hound i think. and was near a bridge over a river. nice bit of country. :yes:

I,ve nae idea where yer oan aboot :laugh: only kidding, I think theres a few old settlements round about the borders :thumbs:

 

I had a look at the Scottish walking website at the walks around Argyle after that Port ( ? can,t remember name exactly ) you recommended and theres one or two places around that area with standing stones, 5000yr old carvings etc, I think I,ll be heading that way when I go to Oban, cheers for the recommendation :thumbs:

port sonachan. i stayed in the port sonachan hotel. ( dont know if that is spelt right} its right on the waterside. you can hire a wee moterboat and go across the loch. there is a ben across there above the dam. eagles ..otters and huge pike if you like fishing

Castle law ranges..... Ooft. That's a stones throw from my house mate. The main road is literally 200m from my back door. Had the dogs up there on a cycle yesterday afternoon.

 

Horrible place to me tbh. Every Friday getting smashed up them hills and down past that reservoir. The flotterstone in is just off the main road and a good place to eat. I'm sure they allow dogs in!

 

You should have dropped me a text/ phone call. You wouldn't believe how close I am to that :thumbs:
