DIY expert advice needed,lol

Recommended Posts

Me autistic lads had a headbanger moment and done a number on his bedroom door,

The frame that the doors hinged too has come away from the wall and so it won't shut now.

how can I fix the frame back to the wall.I know the doors going to have to be unscrewed for the repair.

I don't want housing to do it as they will bill us for it,cheers .

If it's a brick or block wall, the frame will be screwed into it using "frame fixers" which are basically just long screws in long rawlplugs.

You probably wont be able to see where they were screwed as they would have been filled and painted over in the frame.

As has been said place back in its correct position ( check the door shuts correctly ) then drill through the frame into the wall and plug and screw in place with large screws countersink or just screw a milimeter into the frame cover the screw head with wood filler allow to dry rub down and paint .... Hey presto job done ............

The hit back approach is my usual styles but don't think it will work this time lol.

We have a worker from the children with disability team

Ie social worker,

She only works half a week, and we always get .i will call you back, and 9 times out of 10 she doesnt.

We were going to have a occupational therapist vist about his room, but hey cancelled last minute and never rebooked one,

Can't be bothered chasing them up costs too much in calls.
