Marksman 934
Howdy folks quick question.... Does anyone know if Hawke done a Sidewinder 30 4-12x50 with just a Mildot reticle?? The code number is HK4006. Ive been on the Hawke website and going off that number it is supposed to have the x10 1/2 mildot reticle. The reason Im asking is I've recently bought one as new in the box with instructions etc expecting it to have the X10 1/2 mildot reticle and when it arrived it has a standard mildot. So..... Before I start kicking off with the kid for false advertising as all the information he supplied pointed to the x10 1/2mildot as does the Hawke website as previously mentioned Im just wondering if Ive been stung buying a copy....... Just trying to do some digging before I contact paypal for a refund Darryl Quote Link to post

prubs_123 4
ok try this http://www.uttings.c...ir-rifle-scope/ this one looks to have a normal mil dot reticle? Why not take it back from were you bought it and see if they will exchange it? Edited July 28, 2012 by prubs_123 Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
strange that...how Uttings do them but Hawke dont..... :hmm: Quote Link to post
prubs_123 4
Perhaps earlier version had a normal reticle and later models had a different choice Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Give Deben a shout, Darryl. They're the main importers for Hawke and their after sales service and customer care is pretty good. Hope you get sorted, mate Edited July 28, 2012 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
i was looking at hawke panoramas... every website i tried only advertised the 4-12x50 ao ir model with the map 6a reticule. then on uttings they gave a choice between the map 6a and the 1/2 mildot so i got it from there and it has the 1/2 mildot.. just saying like.. dont know about the sidewinders tho. hope you get it sorted mate Quote Link to post

AR177 588
I got a question, a little bit off the subject but marksman mentioned 1/2 mil dot at x10. Is the 1/2 mil dot ret 1/2 mil dot at x10 or x20? As my Hawke Varmint SF 2.5-10 1/2 mil dot seems to equate to a mil dot ret at x10 - it would only be a true 1/2 mil dot at x20 what i mean is .. If im shooting 50yards with 10x its about 3 mil dots on chairgun where as in the field on my reticle it comes in at 1.5 (3 notchs on the reticle) 1/2 what it should be if its 1/2 mil dot at x10 but correct for 1/2 mil dot at x20. Ive checked the power, balistics etc ive done Si's 3 shot method etc and i cant get my head around it the only thing i can think of is the mag is throwing me off, its like im shooting on x5 mag all the time when its set to x10 Still getting good clean kills i just set the scope to x10 and use the x5 chairgun printout - just unsure what is actually going on ATB Adam Im not shooting on x5 mag either before someone asks that im definitly shooting on x10 Quote Link to post
