My collie x took second in the rough dog against some seriously good looking dogs, Will stikc some pics up when I can. My collie x took second in the rough dog against some seriously good looking dogs, Will stikc some pics up when I can. Just chilling wi a beer in Melrose campsite now. that collie x looked well.. deserved 2nd. Some smart looking dogs there.I Even met the mighty whin we had a decent craic for an hour or 2. Fair play to him, his dogs and the pups from his dogs that his mates had looked immaculate. To be honest i picked them out in the ring before i knew who's they were. FUJI 17,729 Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2012 I thought exactly the same Chalkie,I thought he was proving that he could touch his own toes lol..to be fair he chose some canny dogs on the day although owld Rex wasn't so lucky yesterday..Whin had a puncture on his motor so not sure if he's still stuck in a field beside Lake Coniston? Just to answer suffolkpoacher,Whin was sound and a good laugh too,his dogs looked handy and were a picture of health..the roads are a nightmare around there so apart from the drive it was all good craic. We seen a few Roe nearby and also a huge Red hind on a hillside,I bought a book called "the History of the Coniston Foxhounds" i ain't read it all but it's a topper,it's all snippets from the local newspapers since 1825 giving details of days hunting..bloody hell the tales of enthraling hunts,dogs killed and the men who hunted with the Coniston fell packs etc: if you ever come across it buy it as you won't be disappointed! Was busy enough,lurchers,terriers,foxhounds,beagles all had good numbers in their respective classes,was Cumberland Wrestling on,sheepdogs something for everyone really including kiddies sportsday lol.. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
